I was born in California as my father is a Marine and was stationed there, raised in Wisconsin and came to Texas in 1999 to take a job as a flight attendant. It was this job that propelled me into politics. On 9/11, I was a twenty-six year old flight attendant awaiting the arrival of my passengers and the rest of my crew. My passengers never arrived that day. My Captain finally arrived and told me that the airport was being evacuated as our country was under attack. This is the day I became politically active. I married my husband of now twenty two years, set down our roots in Granbury in July of 2004, had three children and was financially conservative so that I could be a stay at home mother.

I have been a Republican Precinct chair on and off for ten years. My identity as a Republican matters because it centers on my core beliefs such as, I believe marriage is between a man and woman, small government, protected borders, right to life, election integrity, the right to bear arms, natural law, our rights come from God not government and more. My core beliefs always determine the way I form my decisions. In 2021, I ran for school board as a then homeschool mother with two opponents, I won that race. For ten years, I have diligently campaigned for conservative candidates in Hood County.

After being elected to district clerk, I went back to college to get my paralegal certification, which was not a requirement, but I wanted to be sure to serve the people as best I could.

I have also contributed to my community and beyond in other ways. Two years I organized a 5K for a local food pantry, have volunteered at my children’s schools and public schools. I have worked in nursing in the past and helped a friend whose husband fell ill with Alzheimer’s disease. I currently work part time for a local doctor, as an administrative assistant. I was the recipient of the Conservative Leader award in 2018. I have served on the library advisory board where I was among the minority and never strayed from my conservative morals and values. I currently serve on the school board as a Trustee. Again, displaying the ability to navigate in a hostile environment never wavering on supporting the people who placed me in that position. I have served as Vice Chair of Elections where I organized lists of judges and election clerks yearly. I have been a delegate to the Texas State convention five times in the last fifteen years. I completed training with Traffic 911, a North Texas non-profit that frees our children from sex trafficking. I have a heart for justice, people and animals. My children and I just completed our first mission trip to Paraguay this summer where we held medical clinics, preached the gospel and brought and taught locals how to use water filters in a remote village. We are looking forward to going to Thailand next summer for our second mission trip. We also have a heart for animals. We share our home with five rescue dogs, a rescue guinea pig and a parrot. I have been a servant to my community while also being an at home mom to my three incredible children. And that has been the most important job of all! A job can be learned, but not everyone knows how to run a campaign and win. I do not just say I am a conservative, I have the track record to prove it. I do not turn my back on my voters and I have stood in the gap for the conservative Republicans in this county. I know who I represent, the people, not the government.
